Existing laws actively allow religious schools to discriminate at will against LGBTQ+ students, and they have now led to Australia being called out by the international community for the second time.

We at One Law For All NSW are horrified by the footage and content of the coordinated ambushings and assaults of gay and bisexual teenage boys in Sydney, and support the NSW Government’s commitment to strengthen legal protections for anti-LGBTQ+ violence.

Australia’s human rights record was reviewed and one recommendation was made by three separate countries - ending the exemptions given to religious schools which allow discrimination against LGBTQ+ students and staff.

One Law For All NSW stands firmly in solidarity with the American LGBTQ+ community, and oppose the consistent attempts by many people to link LGBTQ+ identity with radicalism or terrorism.

Trans kids are not political footballs. One Law For All NSW firmly supports the right of trans youth to access healthcare which is nonnegotiable for their mental and physical wellbeing.

We share the real fears and concerns of Australia’s LGBTQ+ youth and call on the government to enact real change without further marginalising already vulnerable and isolated groups.

Young LGBTQ+ people are being failed by outdated legislation, and this opportunity to advocate for real change is too significant to ignore.
